My name is Del Ziegman. I am a Philadelphia-based farmer, filmmaker, writer, and multidisciplinary artist. My artistic vision is rooted in my background as a laborer. The splinters in my palms at barn raisings have taught me that every act of making must involve an intimate relationship with material. In my art, I extend this understanding to digital spaces, investigating how the materiality of language and the body’s labor must shape the audience’s experience. What interests me is the tension between digital abstraction and physical presence.
